Work Description:
Placement of Fiber-optic Cable at a depth of 48 inches, except at utility obstructions where cable was raised to 36 inches of cover. Project installation included a total of 183,000 lineal feet of Fiber-optic Cable. Handholes were located at all cable ends and at the road bores. All permits were obtained by General Excavating.
Method of Construction:
Direct bury installation by vibratory plow except through bores, which contain a 2 inch smooth-wall duct. Duct and cable placement under the Nemaha River was placed with the Directional Bore machine.
Conclusion:
Project completed on time, under budget, and with no accidents. |
