Scope of Work:
Removal of two 423,000 gallon above-ground fuel storage tanks (AST), three 17,000 ASTs, removal of dikes, pump house, and piping. Asbestos pipe insulation removal and disposal was performed by an asbestos removal contractor, as a subcontractor to General Excavating. Tanks were cleaned by a subcontractor prior to removal. Tanks were cut up with shears from an excavator and pieces were hauled to a scrap-iron dealer for recycling. Pricing on this project was extremely competitive and the customer was highly satisfied with the value received.
