Description of Work:
Construction of a supply and return pump station and installation of @12,000 linear feet of 24" and @14,000 linear feet of 30"" HDPE pipeline. Built to provide makeup water to the Salt Valley Generating Station.

Method of Construction:
The project was constructed using normal construction methods. The pipeline was installed with open-cut except for the crossing of Interstate 80 and Salt Creek. The plans and specifications called for micro-tunneling these crossings. Alternate plans proposed by General Excavating saved the client a significant amount of money. The interstate and creek crossings were completed by means of horizontal directional drilling and conventional auger boring.
