Our Site Utility Team Leaders

Lowry Engstrom, Project Manager and Estimator
The growth and success of General Excavating can largely be attributed to Mr. Engstrom's extensive knowledge of construction techniques and committment to doing what is in the best interest of the customer. With General Excavating since its beginning, Mr. Engstrom brings more than 25 years of construction experience to every project. He has been involved at every level of project execution, from Laborer, Equipment Operator, Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager. He has completed over a thousand projects in his career. In 1997, he was rewarded for his efforts by winning awards from the American Consulting Engineers Council and the Associated Builders and Contractors, for a highly successful channel improvement project conducted for the local Natural Resource District. Mr. Engstrom's expertise in civil construction projects includes water supply, sewage, drainage, and concrete removal / replacement.

Jim Brunner, Project Manager and Estimator
Mr. Brunner has over eight years of management experience in underground site utility and industrial construction, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Geological Engineering. His education and experience has enabled him to be in charge of large-scale projects for General Excavating. His expertise is utilized in managing and estimating sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water installation. Mr. Brunner's commitment to success will enable General Excavating to continue its growth and presence within the Midwest.

Brian Egr, Project Manger and Estimator
Mr. Egr started as an intern at General Excavating while he worked on a degree in Construction Management. Upon graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Mr. Egr began estimating and project management on underground utilities projects. A background in concrete construction, carpentry, and his educational experiences will allow Mr. Egr to improve General Excavating¹s stature as a leader in underground construction.
