Description of Work:
Placement of four 2-inch ducts of fiber optic cable in downtown Omaha. Extensive coordination with the City of Omaha and McLeod USA was required during construction process. Warning and traffic signs were used to direct traffic and congestion.
Method of Construction:
Directional boring was used to place the cable to a variety of depths up to 22 feet below ground surface. Vacuum excavation was used to reduce the risk of penetrating existing utility lines along the route.
