Description of Work:
Installation of 46 miles of 24-count fiber optic cable from the northeast corner of Lincoln, Nebraska to the town of Fremont, Nebraska.
Method of Construction:
Directional boring was used to install fiber through the town of Havelock, a historic part of Lincoln and under Salt Creek. Vibratory plowing methods were used along county roads and along highway rights-of-way. Crews were required to attach 1400' of fiber to the bridge that ran across the Platte River along Highway 77.
